All-consuming things

It would be nice if the all-consuming things in my life were things like....writing on my blog, checking out the different food options in the Triangle or being out and about with Chris. I do get around to some of that (this weekend has been pretty good so far) but really, the all-consuming thing in my life is work. I generally spend 12+ hours at work Monday through Friday, was in this morning to see a patient and now have to go in tomorrow to see a different patient. Plus, I'm trying to get into an all-consuming "study" mode for my ophthalmology boards in March. Work and studying is not my idea of fun.

But in the grand scheme of things, I can't complain too much because as much time as I spend at work, I do find some time to have fun too. We went to Miami with Stephanie and Justin a few weeks ago and saw lots of our friends in Cleveland this past weekend. And we've tried a bunch of fun new dining places around home this weekend. I want to post on it but I'm feeling guilty about blogging instead of studying. Will try to blog in bits and post a picture or two later this weekend.
